“ Laugh when you can – it is cheap medicine”
Last night I laughed, and I laughed, and I laughed, and I laughed. I couldn’t tell you the last time I laughed like that. It was girl’s night in at a dear friend’s home. We ate deliciously, enjoyed fantastic wine, and giggled like schoolgirls watching the movie “Bridesmaids.”
Laughter is one of nature’s greatest and least expensive cures. Research shows that laughter is good for relieving stress. Laughter lowers levels of stress hormones in the body and increases levels of endorphins – the feel good hormones produced in the brain. Laughter also increases the number of antibodies produced, which strengthens the immune system. Lower stress hormones, increased endorphins, and a stronger immune system all aid in fertility.
So when was the last time you laughed so hard you had to sit cross-legged? Maybe it’s time.
